[...] Ever since Nintendo mesmerised me with their press conference at E3 last May, I’ve been itching to get my hands on one of these new consoles. With the Wii selling like hot cakes, I didn’t fancy my chances of getting hold of one before the New Year but fortunately for me, Amazon saved the day. [...]

I think for the enthusiasts it'll be a nice addition alongside either the XBOX360 or the PS3.
But, for those looking for an affordable sollution, I'm sure this will be the choice come Christmas time.

Although a price hasn't been announced, I hope we'll see a figure below the £200 mark which will definately put Nintendo right back into the fray.

It was a very good presentation, however I really can't see it being more of a party with friends type console, a second console to people who already own an XBox 360 or PS3.

I am sure it will be oodles of fun, but not really a serious gaming device.

Ah ha! The elusive comment.

I was going to say that the winner played alongside Myamoto, who is a MUCH bigger and more respected figure; hell - this man is one of the most respected game developers in the world. They played against the other two.
Though... I'd still back Hideo Kojima too.
