World Cup 2006 - It’s almost time!
The World Cup, the World’s greatest sporting event is less than a week away!
Could I be anymore excited? I think not! 
There are so many great teams involved, it’s near impossible to pick out a winner, it really could go to any team this time around!
Brazil are surely favourites, and looking as strong as ever, but it’s never that straightforward. It’s football, anything can happen.
I’ve got a little sweepstake going on at home, my mom, dad and I have each chosen a team. We’ve put in £10 each, and the person who’s team goes furthest gets to keep all the money hehe. Dad went with Brazil (grrr), Mom took Germany and I of course went with England. Come on Rooney, don’t let me down!

I think that many teams will pull off surprises, including France, who I actually think will win it at the end.
Was a good game eh James? Jamaica actually played well until they conceded, after that they looked as though they’d accepted defeat.
Lets hope we can keep that kinda performance going for a few more weeks!
Darko, I totally agree! So many teams have the potential to be a big suprise! Teams like Japan, Korea, Australia, USA, Togo, Serbia…they all look suprisingly strong!
France certainly have a good chance, but I don’t know why, I get a sneaky suspicion that Argentina will go a long way this time around.
And don’t forget Ivory Coast. Team that I will support the most this summer!

That stadium looks absolutely bizarre! I’m going to try and see the opening ceremony in… just over an hour, but I’ll be mathemacating and will have to depend on other’s Footie needs (which are greater than mine). I just want to see Pele going out with the trophy.
